I love new music but it takes me forever to listen to a new album as I usually only listen to the single that's been playing on the radio. God help you if you give me a CD for you to have me listen to; it takes me months to listen to it. I don't know why.

I'm originally from Illinois, and I've always liked St Louis because we've got the culture of a city, but not the traffic. It's also close to my family, so I jumped on the chance to move here when a job opened up and never looked back. You can probably guess that my family is important to me, especially my nephew.

I also play my guitar on occasion, I like to cook (but cooking for one is getting tedious), and I love rock climbing, mostly at the climbing gym downtown, but also outside every once in a great while. I like to travel when I can, whether across the continent or the globe. I've recently started riding a motorcycle, which is like meditation for me. No matter how I'm feeling, I always find myself grinning ear-to-ear as soon as I open the throttle. For the record, I wear a helmet, and my bike is a laid back cruiser, not a "crotch rocket." There's nothing meditative about weaving between cars while trying to break the sound barrier.

Four years ago I was talking to a friend who asked me, "What would you be doing if you weren't writing software?" I didn't even have to think about it. "I'd be a blues guitar player."

And then I thought, "Why not?" So I bought a guitar.

Now I know who I am; I have been waiting my whole life to tell everyone. I love to experience new things and grow. Often the only way to do this is through fear and then I gain faith. My life is cool if only I would pay more attention.
Staying open minded and willing does not mean irresponsibility. I need people and friends but also my life is my responsibility. I'm kind of a procrastinator, but since I don't have to worry about studying anymore, that's not as much of a problem. I enjoy going to different places and it's fun to go spontaneously. I'm a medical student looking for new ways to meet people. In general I tend to be pretty laid back. I just graduated from college last year and moved out here for medical school from Boston. I'm still kind of adjusting to the lack of seafood and ocean, but it's nice to not have to worry about subzero winters anymore ... hopefully.

I enjoy doing just about anything outdoors, especially hiking and going to the beach. I haven't really had a chance to make it to the beach lately, but last May some friends and I hiked up Katahdin (the tallest mountain in Maine). It's such an amazing feeling to make it to the top of a summit like that, though a little terrifying when you look down and see that there's a thousand foot drop.

When I'm not performing death-defying feats of mountain climbing (j/k), I tend to spend most of my time hanging out with my friends. We've recently started watching an Arrested Development marathon, which is hilarious. I enjoy going to restaurants (especially Maggiano's and Eleven Eleven Mississippi), though I have finally started teaching myself how to cook.

I'm always up for a good TV show or movie. My favorite shows are Lost, Firefly, House, The Office. As for movies, I tend to enjoy action movies, especially Lord of the Rings, though I have been known to watch Love Actually from time to time.

I really should fill this out. Chances are though when I actually do, it'll be as descriptive and useless as it was before I wrote anything. I'm a good writer, it's just I like to write more stupid stuff then actually worthwhile, 'cause it's more fun. I wish this had a text/character counter 'cause I want to see how much I can write without actually making a point. Overtly stated point that is, by reading this, you can intrinsically validate the second sentence I just wrote. I wonder if I can think or type faster. Typing just won.

Whats up.... my name is Justin. I'm a grad student at Wash U for clinical social work, which takes up most of my time, but I'm also committed to making sure this does not take over my life! I enjoy doing a wide variety of things and I'm always open to trying new things and keeping life interesting. My life isn't exactly empty, but I'd have to say it's somewhat unfulfilled, or not fully realized, which is why I'm here. I'm looking for a relationship with long term potential.

I have a pretty good sense of humor and am usually good at making people laugh. I range from dryly sarcastic to side-splittingly funny, but I don't force humor just to be funny, so I can't guarantee you'll be wiping away tears of laughter the first time you meet me. I like to go out of town with friends on vacation, especially on cruises. I've cruised the Caribbean twice and just did Alaska in August. Alaska was awesome, but I missed snorkeling. I'm planning on possibly cruising the Mediterranean next year.

I also watch more TV than I probably should, especially given that I work full-time AND I'm a full-time student too. My current favorite shows are Heroes, House, Lost, and Fringe.

I have three cats. I kind of wish I only had one. But I like them usually. Not when they're meowing while I'm trying to sleep or rolling all over my clothes before I've had a chance to put them on yet though. I have quite unfavorable things to say about them then.
