Since the first time I attempted painting I've absorbed specific techniques when I felt ready and interested. I like it this way as I feel it preserves the way I felt when I  started and most of us learn best when we're most interested in a subject.

 

I have a biology related four-year college degree and that's why many of the subjects I paint are animals and the human form. I group my work in one of two: realism or expressionism. Generally, I paint animals realistically. I believe the human form can express much more feeling.
